USC guy just called and left a really heartfelt message about how sorry he is and how he’s been thinking about me non-stop, but didn’t have the courage to call me along with a laundry list of other nice things to say about me. Ok, I got out the leashes and both dogs got excited, so that’s good. I took them on a very short walk, because I didn’t want to further dehydrate Sparky. When we got back, I put the water in front of him and he did drink a bit of it, but I had to put my finger in there just to give him interest, since he seemed more interested in licking my finger. I spoke with showroom manager and she said he’s probably “working me” and that it should be ok as long as I don’t see any diarrhea out there (there’s not). I guess I’ll just keep monitoring him for now.

I don’t know what’s going on with Sparky (who is one of showroom manager’s dogs that I am sitting while they are in Palm Springs). The last time I sat for them, he was bubbly and high-energy and eating and drinking just fine. Since I’ve been here, I haven’t seen him eat anything, so I’ve given him treats. At first he would eat the treats (like Thursday night) but yesterday he only had one treat and today he refused them. So I gave him all the deli turkey showroom manager said I could give to them as treats. He at that. I haven’t seen him drink water and he is pretty lethargic. I called showroom manager and left a message, but honestly, these are like her kids and I don’t want her to worry if it’s nothing.

Do you think he’s just depressed? He wasn’t like this the last time I sat for him. I’m glad that he’s still willing to eat turkey, but do you think I should take him to the vet?

So I took this driving home from Fancy Furniture ShopTM. My camera phone sucks, so you can’t really see it very well, but just look at those houses. The majority of them are propped up by three poles. THAT’S IT. There is no way IN HELL I would ever step one foot in those houses. Can you imagine living there?? I’d be 100% of the time worried that my house would collapse down that steep hill. Yikes.
